This was our third stay at the Del Senato, and it remains excellent. The staff are all friendly and helpful, particularly reception and the cheerful breakfast crew. Our Pantheon-facing room was smallish but not uncomfortably so, and was well equipped, immaculately clean, and had a large and very comfy bed. Personally I'd take a good mattress over room size every time. Location is of course sensational, at the heart of the city and close to everything. The insanely busy Piazza Rotunda can be noisy at times, but the double glazing works well. Occasional you do get outside noise in the early hours, and the tireless city street cleaners start early, but it wasn't a big problem for us. Breakfast was very good with a fairly standard continental choice with hot options. The roof terrace is a bonus - the bar wasn't open in April, but the terrace was still available and was a great place to sit with a take out lunch and a drink in the spring sunshine. Overall, standards are high and service is excellent. Price wise, it isn't cheap, but compares well with other city hotels and seems fair value to me. I'd happily stay in the Del Senato again.

We had a nice stay at Albergo de Senato. Rooms are small but the tub-shower was a little sketchy getting in and out. We had a room on the 2nd floor which had a small balcony overlooking the Pantheon and square, quite charming. Staff was accommodating and helpful. Great location to center you around Rome. Lots within walking distance. Rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. They have done a great job renovating an old building into a charming hotel

The location was great and loved to be able to walk out and be in the tourist mix. There were like 10 churches without 3 blocks. The staff were great, everyone was helpful. The room was spacious and had three separate beds and a bathroom that was placed for privacy. Overall the room was a little dated. The rooftop was cool. The breakfast was okay.

The Albergo del Senato is a wonderful hotel for a short visit to Rome! It is centrally located to all attractions, but mainly the Pantheon is litterally at its doorstep! We have a full view of the plaza and the Pantheon front columns from our bedroom window (first floor, room 102). The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and very nicely decorated. They provided sleepers and bathrobes which gave extra comfort. The windows provided high acustic isolataion from the bustling plaza below, although some noise was invevitable, given the location. Breakfast was abundant and diverse, very nicely served. A highly reccomendable hotel in the center of the old city of Rome!

Central hotel just beside Pantheon, close to a number of attractions. Decor a little dated but clean and tidy, we stayed 3 nights. Great breakfast, we had an early start one morning and staff provided breakfast packs night before which was welcome, fridge in room to keep fresh. Little bit of a smell in bathroom which was large but ok when door closed. Lots of activity in piazza outside which might affect sleep if you’re not a night owl!
